It all starts with testing. If you find out you’re positive, accessing HIV treatment is both a smart move for your health and for drastically reducing the rate of HIV transmission.

Treatments today keep your immune system healthy and lower the viral load of HIV in your blood to virtually undetectable levels, drastically reducing the chance of transmitting HIV, meaning you’re much less likely to pass HIV on to sexual partners.

Advances in treatment and testing represent key elements to Ending HIV by 2020; however they won’t be sufficient if we don’t continue to stay safe. Condoms remain the most effective barrier against transmission of HIV, and there are also other options to practice safe sex.

We invite you to mobilise in support of the most significant advance against HIV since the introduction of combination therapy nearly 20 years ago - it’s about ending HIV. 2020 marks the end of the decade and it can also mark the end for new cases of HIV.

We are here to bring you the most recent and relevant information and news about HIV, our Ending HIV campaign and other similar initiatives from around the world.

We also want to share this platform with you to talk about other important issues which are relevant to our communities, including sexual health, relationships, stigma and discrimination, mental health and wellbeing, human rights and more!
